Coworker Shelley

I can remember the first time I met Shelley and I thought she is one tough cookie!! At first I was a little unnerved by her hard outer shell she put up, but then her and I began to talk about our life. We had a lot in common having gone through the same things and I realized why she was a tough cookie, like me she was a survivor. I liked her no nonsense approach to dealing with people and every now and then I could put a smile on her face, it helped to make the day go by just a little faster. I gave her a ride home one day and realized she lived in the same city as I did and any time I saw her I would ask if she wanted a ride but she preferred the bus which was fine with me because she was honest about her reasons for taking it. She was one of the strongest woman I have ever known and I applaud her for her honesty she did not beat around the bush she would tell you exactly why it was so and believe me it was just that, the Shelley way. I can say she was a great coworker and I know I am going to miss her. Peace be with you Shelley and I know we will see each other again.
