Modlinski, Leonard T.
Of St. Francis, passed away July 12, 2015 at the age of 95 years. Beloved husband of the late Marian A. Modlinski. Loving father of his devoted daughter Caroline (Jerold) Margetta. Proud Jaja of Daniel Margetta, Thomas Margetta, and Carrie (James) Peterson. Cherished great-Jaja of Zoe, Jamie, Samantha, and Elijah. Dear brother of Conrad (the late Nancy) Modlinski, the late Clement (the late Elaine) Modlinski, the late Dolores (the late John) Tutkowski, and the late Julianna (the late Stanley) Bray. Brother-in-law of Bernice (Jerome) Dolezal, James (the late Marian) Roach, the late Grace Roach, and the late Howard (the late Gene) Roach. Life-long best friend of Ceil Drewek and the late Merry LaMond. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services Thursday, July 16, at 5:00PM at the funeral home chapel. Visitation on Thursday from 4:00PM - 6:00PM. Entombment private Forest Home Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Wounded Warrior Project appreciated; P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
Len served in the United States Army Air Corp during WWII. He was an assistant crew chief of the B-17's. He was a member of the Charles E. Fidler Memorial Post 9469, Van Eimeren Kolonka Post 27, and the 303rd Bomb Group Association.
