Dr. Hook & the Medicine Show

OMG!  I have couple great memories with this band.  The time mom took us to Northside to see this band, and afterwards the theater had the Rocky Horror Picture Show.  I remember Aunt Sandy came along, and was just beside herself with the way all the people dressed for "the show".  It was so hilarious.  Mom loved this band.  Then when Maria lived with us, she would pop this record on, on Saturday mornings, and we would all clean the house.  Then when we were all done cleaning, we would sit and coffee clutch at the kitchen table for hours.  I still know the lyrics to "Sylvia's mother says...and the Operator says 40 cents more, for the next three minutes.  Please Mrs. Avery..."  Or how about, "She was only 16.  Only 16, but I loved her so.  She was too young to fall in love, and I was too young to know."
