Obituary for Daniel David Hayman

Hayman, Daniel David age 92, passed away peacefully in Elkhorn, Wisconsin on Saturday, November 19, 2016. Daniel was born in Oak Creek, Wis. on March 20, 1924 to the late David and Esther (nee Raether) Hayman. He was the first of 5 children and grew up on the family farm on Rawson Ave. in Oak Creek, Wis. He attended South Milwaukee High School. He married Joyce Elaine Wagner on September 25, 1948 at Zion Lutheran Church. They enjoyed 43 years of marriage together.

Daniel was retired from Bucyrus Erie (Caterpillar) after 35 years as a tool grinder. He loved working on the farm, hunting, fishing, horseshoes, camping, and playing cards with family and friends.

Daniel is preceded in death by his wife, parents, brother Charles and David, sister Kathleen Etherton, and great-grandson Jonah Krauklis.

Daniel is survived by his sister, Marlene Worm of Colorado, brother-in-law Virgil Etherton of Kentucky, daughters Cheryl (Richard) Scott and Linda (Gene) Krauklis, grandchildren Adam, Ryan, Brandon, Kristen, and Christopher, 13 great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, and numerous friends and relatives.

The family would like to thank the staff at Sherwood Lodge Assisted Living in Williams Bay, Wis. and the staff at Lakeland Heath Care Center in Elkhorn, Wis. for their excellent care while Daniel was there.

A memorial service will be held at Molthen-Bell Funeral Home in South Milwaukee on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 10:30AM. Visitation at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:30AM-10:30AM. Entombment at Forest Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials to Lakeland Health Care Center in Daniel’s name are appreciated.
