Joy Untold

When my husband and I first moved in over 15 years ago, Josephine was the first neighbor to welcome us. We Were a tired and stressed out military family. We were used to feeling at home at each base we lived, being a civilian was so new to us. One day there was a knock, knock at our door, not knowing anyone I wondered if it might be a sales person, to my delighted surprise, it was Josephine, "Jo" as I came to know her. In her arms was a basket filled with items and in her hand a card, whch I still treasure and have, with a recipie for Joy Untold. She took each item out of the basket and read each description on the card, Wine for Joy Untold, Bread - nothing makes your bread loaf longer then you will never know hunger, Salt- Keep this jar of salt so want is kept at a halt, Silver Coin - With a silver coin above the door - pay out less and bring in more. Her act of such welcome and kindness helped me overcome the nervous "new" neighbor jitters. I always knew Jo was praying for our family. I know she walks with the Lord today. This is a treasure for me and my family. I have had the privilage to pass this on to few neigbors, and to my delight get the same surprised expression I gave to Jo when she first came to our door.
