Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at the age of 91 years. Preceded in death by her husband Clyde, sister Phyllis E. (Robert) Erickson, nephew R. Thomas Erickson. Survived by nieces and nephews Gail E. (the late Richard) Rollins, Terri R. (John) Cox, Kevin L. (Lynn) Erickson. Also survived by Marsha Erickson (wife of R. Thomas Erickson), other relatives and friends. Visitation on Monday,June 22 at the funeral home from 10-11:30 with a service to follow. Interment Forest Hill Cemetery.

Mary attended Lone School in Grant County near Big Patch, WI, for grades 1-8. She went to Platteville High School and Platteville State Teacher's College where she graduated in 1947 with a B.S. degree in elementary education. After graduation she taught in Hanover, IL for 3 1/2 years, Lake Geneva for 8 years and Rawson School in South Milwaukee for 29 years. While teaching in Lake Geneva she worked at the Riviera for several summers and at a souvenir shop for many summers. In 1956 Mary married Clyde Bloom of Racine, WI. He taught at West Ridge School, Jerstad-Agerholm Elementary and Gilmore Junior High School in Racine. The Blooms enjoyed traveling and Mary liked working in her yard.
