Talents

Ron left us his talents. He was a talented woodworker, producing exquisitie cutting boards, full-size furniture items, and a dollhouse that he had been working on for years to include homemade miniature furniture pieces. Ron underestimated his abiliity to create treasures from scraps. For those who own a cutting board, pedestal, or blanket throw  created by Ron, you're a lucky one ...hold on to that piece. After years of creating, health began to take over and and small injury forced him to stop and give away his woodworking equipment to the next generation of young talents. I think there was much inside Ron that he underestimated. When he was around his granddaughters, he slowly fould growing confidence in becomming "Grampy Ron,' which was a joy to watch unfold. Let us reflect on the many hidden talents we all have but may to to humble or unsure to allow those talents thrive, whether it be a tanglble talent or budding relationship. Thank you Ron for leaving us glimpses of your talents to hold on to and pass on to new generations.
