Zoltan "Zoli" is now dancing with his beloved daughter, Sarai, in heaven. He was a child of our Lord and King, Jesus Christ. His greatest desire was for he and his family to go to heaven, to be an instrument in the hands of the Lord and to spread the Word of God and bring more believers to Jesus Christ.
His Christian education began at Zion Lutheran Grade School, South Milwaukee, following Wisconsin Lutheran High School and graduating from South Milwaukee High School. He furthered his education at Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN and graduated from Wisconsin Lutheran Collage in 1985 with an Associate of Arts degree.
One of Zoli's employers was Eskimo Pie/Denali Ingredients as a Food Safety Specialist. He was in his element and always passionate about his work (and the free ice cream was an extra bonus). His most recent employer, Stella & Chewy's, he worked as a Regulatory Compliance Supervisor, where he especially enjoyed spending time with co-worker's pet dogs.
Zoli loved gardening and had a green thumb which he acquired from his father. He was a great cook and his dream was to open a Hungarian restaurant. Zoli was extremely proud of his Hungarian heritage and had the opportunity to travel to Hungary and visit his family twice.
He was a huge Wisconsin sports fan. His biggest zeal was for the Brewers and shared that zeal with his son Adam and daughter Sarai. He was a season ticket holder in the past and made it a special day often with Adam and Sarai. He also enjoyed "Everything" about Elvis with Adam, especially the Elvis impersonator shows. Zoli always had a surprising dry sense of humor, he loved to kid around and made people feel light-hearted.
Zoli was eager to roll up his sleeves and volunteer for a number of charitable projects namely his church, Make-A-Wish Foundation, International Rett Syndrome Foundation and Girl Power 2 Cure.
Although Zoli suffered from failing health in recent years, he worked full-time, traveled, enjoyed family get-togethers and spent special days collecting sports cards and sport memorabilia with his best buddy, Adam.
Zoli is survived by his beloved son Adam. His sister and brother-in-law Paula and Mark Woychik, sister and brother-in-law Barbara and David Pieper, brother David Pethes and sister-in-law Cindy Pethes. Nieces and nephews, Andrew, Peter Joe, Joycel, Crystal, Stephen, and Laura. Also survived by his great nieces and nephews, cousins in Hungary and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his beautiful and beloved daughter Sarai. Also preceded in death by his father Istvan "Stephen", his mother Ilona "Helen", and brother Peter Pethes.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Zoli can be made to International Rett Syndrome Foundation or Make-A- Wish Foundation.
