Born to Eternal Life on June 19, 2024 at the age of 77. Loving husband to the late Dianne (nee Polega). Dear father to Jenny (Joe) Loppnow and grand pup Sadie. Brother to Jim Miller, Ann Grall and the late Eddie Miller. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, brother and sister-in-laws. He was born on April 13.1947 in Antigo Wisconsin to the late George and Alice Miller. Bill was raised as a dairy and potato farmer and was involved in 4H during childhood and graduated from Antigo High School in 1965. Bill moved to Milwaukee after, and started working in various machine shops which included Milwaukee Cylinder for 43 years. Bill excelled in the manufacturing workforce community. As his dedication to work was evident as he held many supervisor roles in manufacturing, assembly, purchasing and quoting. He was always willing to train and mentor anyone who needed it.
Bill was very passionate to the Cudahy Lions Club since 2003 to help raise money and support the Lions Club mission. He served as Club Director for many terms, and chair of the Scholarship Committee which he was very proud of. He also earned the knick name "Meat Czar" within the club as he was very particular for the monthly meat raffles. He also has been Chairman of the City of Cudahy Water Utility Commission since 2005. In addition, Bill and Dianne enjoyed gardening, trips to Vegas and weekend getaways together. They loved road trips to cheer on Badger football, yearly vacations to Chetek Wisconsin. Bill loved doing stats for the Cudahy Football team. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the Oncology staff at St. Luke's Hospital especially the staff of Dr. Qamar, NP Marie, Katrina and Laurie with Palliative Care and Garden Tower 12S Staff for the hospice care provided.
Memorial visitation at the funeral home on July 1 from 4 to 6 PM with a memorial service at 6 PM. A celebration of life will be held at the K-Ranch in Cudahy following the service. Bill's impact on his community will resonate for years to come he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cudahy Lions is appreciated.
