William "Junior" Richard Kremsreiter passed away peacefully at his home in South Milwaukee, WI on February 13, 2024 at the age of 90. He was surrounded by his family at the time of his passing. William was born April 16, 1933 in Athens, WI to William and Margaret (Niewolny) Kremsreiter. William grew up on a farm in Athens, WI, along with his 12 siblings. He later went on to serve in the United States Army. Following his service, William moved to South Milwaukee, WI, where he met his wife, Darlene (Rumpel) Kremsreiter, and raised their 5 children: Steven, Susan, Scott, Shelly and Shawn. William worked at American Motors, and then at Bucyrus Erie until his retirement at 62. William especially enjoyed traveling to Jamaica and Mexico with family and friends. He loved the great outdoors and enjoyed fishing and hunting with family and friends. William "Junior" is preceded in death by his parents William and Margaret, Joseph and Esther Rumpel, brothers Roger and Eugene Kremsreiter, brothers-in-law Robert Johnson, Dennis Rumpel, Elroy Dahl, Donald Weiler, sister-in-law Ann Rumpel, and his best friend Victor Ricard. William is survived by his wife Darlene of 66 years, married on March 2, 1957. He is additionally survived by his children; Steven (Kathy) Kremsreiter, Susan (Dean) Mitchell, Scott (Christine) Kremsreiter, Shelly (Gary) Wood, Shawn (Mary Pearson) Kremsreiter. Survivors also include his 6 sisters, Alice Weiler, Shirley (Tom) Von Loh, Diane Dahl, Lola (Gary) Radloff, Judy Riemer, Marylou Kremsreiter, and Bibs Kremsreiter, Betty Kremsreiter, his 4 brothers, Raymond (Kathy), Ronald (Marlene), Dennis (Rita), Harlen (Lori), John (Joan) Rumpel, Mary Johnson and Molly, his sweet Yorkipoo. William is also survived by his many grandchildren: Jamie (Kyle) Krause, Corrine (Jason) Schieffer, Katie Jo (Nate) Maier, Nicole (Brian) Juneau, Neal (fiancee Samantha) Baldwin, Adam (Carlie) Sims, Dean Mitchell Jr., Jacob and Josie Wood, Destiny (Iain) Fryt, Aron (fiancee Elliott) Kremsreiter, Justin and Shauna Kremsreiter; step-grandchildren Brandon (fiancee Kristen) Wood, Dustin (Stephanie) Wood; 17 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday, February 24 from 10 to 11:30 am with a service at 11:30 AM.
