Viona Schlecht

CUDAHY - (nee Bentz) Age 85, passed away on Friday, December 11, 2020. Beloved wife of 68 years to Eugene Schlecht. Loving mother of Greg (Lori) Schlecht, the late Sandy Davis and Randy (Mary) Schlecht. Proud grandma of nine grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. Survived by her sisters Helen Grienger, Phyllis Aldrich, Eva Schweitzer and Angie Neuberger. Preceded in death by her daughter Sandy, three sisters and one brother. Also survived by many family, friends and loved ones. Vi was happy go lucky and a joy to be around. Vi and Gene demonstrated true love between best friends and were a wonderful example of a lasting marriage. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her grandkids will miss her kiddie cocktails, cucumber sandwiches and fruit salad. Vi enjoyed working at Country Gardens Restaurant and later as a cashier at Greg's True Value. She loved watching the Brewers and Packers and you could find her enjoying wine at many tailgate parties at County Stadium and Miller Park. Her large bag of quarters in the living room proved how much she enjoyed winning against Gene during their nightly game of cribbage. He will miss those nights dearly. Visitation at St. Mark's Lutheran Church (3515 E Van Norman Ave, Cudahy) on Friday, December 18 from 10 to 11 AM with a funeral service at 11 AM.
