Steven Scott Burge unexpectedly left this earthly world on May 10, 2023. He joined his father and mother; Ronald and Josephine (nee Blawat) (Kruczynski) Burge, Steve's life was a series of challenges and triumphs from birth. Although abandoned at birth, he became son of Ronnie and Jo, brother to Jeanette, James, Craig, and Ken (Phillips), 13 other foster siblings, and uncle to 8 nieces and nephews. Although it was said that he would never walk due to his Spina Bifida, he defied the odds and learned to walk with the aid of specially designed therapies, assistive devices, braces, crutches, perseverance, and time. Many of these lead to many creations used today to assist many children like Steve to become more independent than previously thought possible. During some of his many hospital stays, Steve was privileged to meet and become friends with several of the Milwaukee Brewers. In adulthood, Steve made many friendships, touched many lives, lived, and worked independently for many years. Due to failing health and the need for more assistance, most recently Steve lived at Allis Care Center where he passed away.
The family would like to thank the following:
*Children's Hospital
*Curative Care
*The Milwaukee Brewers
*Froedtert Hospital and MCW
*Advocate Aurora St Luke's and. West Allis Memorial Hospitals
*Allis Care Center
*Everyone that helped Steven to learn and to live his best life.
