Shirley Stone

December 4, 1935 — September 7, 2024

Shirley Mae Stone, age 88, from South Milwaukee, died peacefully on September 7th, 2024. She was born December 4th, 1935, in South Milwaukee. She was the oldest of two daughters by Sylvester and Julia (Batskai) Szpera. Sister to Laverne (Phil) Morgan and aunt and great aunt to many. Shirley married Dale Earl Stone on February 14th, 1959 and they shared many wonderful years together. They together had two sons, Earl (Kathy) and Jay (Michelle). Shirley was active throughout the years with the Legion Auxiliary, Lions and Red Hats. She enjoyed traveling, listening to polka, playing card games and a good word search. She also enjoyed getting together with her friends at the playhouse. Her favorite thing to do though, was spend time with her grandchildren, Amber and Ashley (Craig), and her great grandchildren, Jacob and Thomas. Services for Shirley will be held at Molthen Bell Funeral home on Monday, September 23rd. Viewing will be from 10:30am to 11:30am. Service at 11:30am. Burial to follow at 12:30pm at Forest Hill Cemetery. There will be a luncheon held at Pulaski Inn at 2pm. In Lieu of flowers the family is asking preferred to either send a card or donate to the Chrones and Ulcerative Colitis foundation.
