Sandra Hudy

Mrs. Sandra Marie Hudy, age 84, was born to eternal life on Friday morning, March  22, 2024. She peacefully ascended to our Lord Jesus, while being surrounded by her loving family.

Sandra was born February 25, 1940 in Milwaukee County, a daughter of the late Alysious Albert & Bernice (Frederick) Harmeyer.& sister Alicia Rutkowski.

Sandra was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Anthony Hudy and their son Charles Hudy.

She was a faithful servant of God and member of St. James Catholic Church. She was a homemaker and raised all 5 children. Later in her life she went back to school to obtain her Bachelor in Business Communication, Masters in Library Science and just short of submitting her dissertation paper to complete her PHD degree, because her husband became ill and she became his full-time caregiver. She had a meaningful career while working for the Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) for many years as an Engineer Supervisor. She was an education advocate and always encouraged those around her to pursue their passion and education. She enjoyed reading, arts, crafts and spending time with her children and grandchildren and would bless them with her beautiful singing.

Sandra is survived by two loving daughters and 2 sons. Her children, Mary Lara, Anthony & MaryJo Hudy, Lawrence & Jefy Hudy, Sharron & Mike Chelig. Her brothers and sisters, Alan Harmeyer, Terry Harmeyer and Ceclie Harmeyer and two generations of many grandchildren. She also leaves many additional family members and friends who will sadly miss her until we are reunited in heaven.
