Ruth Cords

Cords, Ruth Z. (nee Brink) passed away October 25, 2014 at the age of 95 years after a brave battle with dementia and other ailments. Preceded in death by her parents; Victor and Elizabeth Brink, her sister; Donna (Frank) Sweet, and her great-nephew; Boyd Johnston. Beloved wife of Arno W. Cords. Loving mom of Connie (William S.) Pilger. Proud grandmother of William B. (Melinda McCorkle) Pilger, and great-grandmother of Wilson D. Pilger. Dear aunt of Faye (Jack) Johnston, and Wendy Boman. Great-aunt of Jacquell (Tracy) Gartman, Greg (Katie) Johnston, Kelly (Allison) Boman, Josh Boman, and Elizabeth (Matt) Crockett. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Ruth was a retiree of the Campbellsport, WI Schools and a long-time member of St. Luke's United Church of Christ. In earlier years, she helped Arno and Connie run their farm in northern Minnesota, while teaching science at Red Lake Falls H.S. and other nearby school districts. She enjoyed family get-togethers, cards, dominoes, and an occasional trip to the casino. Memorial service on Tuesday, November 4, at 11:00AM at St. Luke's United Church of Christ. 2200 18th Ave. South Milwaukee. Memorial gathering on Tuesday from 9:00AM until time of services. Interment private. Memorials to the Salvation Army or St. Luke's United Church of Christ would be greatly appreciated.
