Passed away peacefully on August 10, 2015 with family by his side. Loving husband of Elizabeth "Betty". Beloved father to Daniel (Susan), David (Anna), Dennis (Monique), Timothy (Darlene) and Thomas (Sherrill). Also survived by 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, his brother Karl, other relatives and friends. Visitation on Friday, August 14 at the funeral home from 12 - 1 pm with a service at 1 pm. Interment Forest Hill Memorial Park.
Rudy was a former boat builder and carpenter. He served in the Army from July 12, 1943 - March 7, 1946 and was very proud to be part of the Antiaircraft Artillery Machine Gun Crew. Rudy was a guard patrolman with the Coast Artillery in Tokyo, Japan and was stationed at Segamo prison where he guarded Japanese and International prisoners including Tokyo Rose. He was also in attendance for signings of Japan's surrender during WWII.
