Ronald Osiecki, age 90, of South Milwaukee, WI, passed away July 6, 2025, surrounded by his family. He is survived by Kristin (Tina) Osiecki, (former wife of 40 years) his children, Glenn and Clarice (John) and grandchildren, Emerson and Anna, and was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Agnes (Ludwiczak) Osiecki and siblings Dorothy (Barney), Jerry (Isabel) and Richard (Eileen). After earning a bachelor's degree from the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles on a tuition-free scholarship, Ronn was set to dive into a life of design and creativity, but the U.S. Army called first. He was drafted and served for two years, before spending the rest of his life immersed in graphic design, art and imagination. Throughout his career, he held roles as senior graphic designer, design consultant and art director—bringing creativity and vision to every project before forming his own business, Design Research Unit, USA. He served on the board of directors of the Milwaukee Society of Communicating Arts and won the New York Art Director's Award for logo/trademark design. Before retiring, he worked for 16 years at the Milwaukee Journal/Milwaukee Sentinel in the department of promotion, marketing and creative services. He lived in his cabin in the woods in Central Wisconsin for decades. Ronn didn't just think outside the box, he didn't even acknowledge the box was there. He will be remembered for his unshakable optimism, creativity and love for God and family, and an impressive collection of his own puns and witticisms. A celebration of his life will be planned for a future date.
