Robert Pribyl

September 27, 1930 — September 29, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert "Bob" George Pribyl, who departed this world peacefully on September 29, 2025, just two days after celebrating his 95th birthday. Born on September 27, 1930, in Toledo, Ohio, Bob led a life marked by a profound dedication to education, sports, and the well-being of those around him.

After growing up in Madison, Wisconsin, Bob relocated to Cudahy where his passion for sports emerged early on. He excelled as an All-State football player in high school, a high achievement that set the tone for a lifetime devoted to nurturing talent in young athletes. After earning his master's degree, he shared his love for education and sports as a Vice Principal at Oak Creek High School, where he selflessly dedicated himself to the betterment of his students. Bob was not only the head football coach but also led the track and baseball teams, encouraging countless young people to believe in their potential. His enthusiasm and kindness were contagious, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A dedicated sports fan, he could always be seen cheering for his beloved Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers, embodying a spirit of unwavering support. Bob's zest for life extended beyond the classroom and playing fields; he reveled in travel, especially exploring Europe, and creating lasting memories with his grandchildren. His warmth and kindness embraced every gathering, especially during the holidays.

Having celebrated his 95th birthday surrounded by family, including distant travelers who came to honor him, Bob was a testament to friendship, exemplified in the song "Heart of My Heart," which beautifully captured his essence of connection and kindness. His ability to make friends wherever he went created an expansive circle of care and generosity.

Bob is survived by his loving children; Mary (Hugh) Totten, David (Mary) Pribyl, and Jon (Michelle) Pribyl. His grandchildren Samantha Totten, Nicholas Totten, Cameron Pribyl, Tess Pribyl, Peyton Pribyl, and Ian Pribyl. As well as his great grandchild Nellie Rae Pribyl. Bob is preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Carol Joanne Pribyl, and his parents George and Coletta Pribyl.

The family would like to thank the staff of Howard Village in St. Francis and Dimensions Living Oconomowoc, who cared so deeply for Bob in his last years.
