Robert T Maciolek

Photographer Robert T. Maciolek passed away Wednesday, Nov. 12th at the age of 81. A Milwaukee native, Bob grew up on the South Side. A job took him to Virginia but he returned to Cudahy, lived in Bay View for many years, and moved to South Milwaukee after retiring. He leaves behind his companion of 45 years, wife Susan K. Maciolek, son Perry Gaudynski (Maureen), daughter Sarah Maciolek (Scott Sebunia), three granddaughters—Sonja, Jaimie, & Cheyenne Gaudynski; and many friends. His Federal career included photography positions at the Smithsonian, Great Lakes Naval Training Center, Indiana Dunes National Park, Mesa Verde National Park, and the National Archives. Called “Photo Bob” by his teammates, he was never more inspired than when playing rugby for the Black & Blues, or shooting rugby photos. Visitation at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 18 from 4 to 6 PM with a service at 6 PM.
