Rita Wilk

Wilk, Rita A. (nee Behlmer) of South Milwaukee passed away on May 14, 2020 at the age or 94 years. Beloved wife of John for 64 years prior to his passing in 2016. Dear mother of Mary Ann (Robert) Mergener, Dr. Peter (Julie) Wilk, the late John M. (Kathy) Wilk, Jerry (Patty) Wilk, and Fr. Brian Wilk. Proud grandmother of Sharon, Steven, Sarah, Matthew, Erin, Molly, Valerie, John and 8 great granddaughters. Fond sister of Phillip Behlmer. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Rita was preceded in death by her husband John, son John M., her parents Henry and Helen Behlmer and siblings Agnes Gaworski, May Helen Clark, Joseph Behlmer and Joanne Behlmer. Rita and John were faithful members of Divine Mercy Parish (St. Mary's) and longtime volunteers at South Milwaukee Human Concerns. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 24th at 11:00 A.M. at Divine Mercy Parish, 800 Marquette Avenue, South Milwaukee with Fr. Brian Wilk presiding and priest friends concelebrating. Inurnment will be at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery. A visitation will take place at the church beginning at 9:30 until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to South Milwaukee Human Concerns or Divine Mercy Parish. Thanks to the staff of Franciscan Villa for their care of Rita.
