Phyllis Larson, age 88, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Arnold Larson, her cherished granddaughter, Sarah Esquibel, siblings; Deloris Palm (Clifford), Iver Jesme (Amy), Harold Jesme, Merle Jesme.
Phyllis is survived by her loving daughter, Pam Esquibel her son in law Mike and her grandson, Jeffrey. She also leaves behind sisters-in-law Lorna and Arlene Jesme, Betty Opdahl, brother-in-law Ray Berg, many nieces, nephews, and extended family members whom she loved deeply and who will forever treasure her memory.
Born on May 25, 1938, Phyllis moved from northern Minnesota to South Milwaukee in 1956 in search of work and new opportunities. It was there that she met the love of her life, Arnold, and together they built a life filled with love, family, and lasting memories. South Milwaukee remained her home for the rest of her life.
Phyllis had a strong spirit, a caring heart, and a deep devotion to her family. She enjoyed life fully and continued to live it to the fullest right up to the very end. Her warmth, resilience, and love will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Visitation at Trinity Lutheran Church in South Milwaukee on Thursday June 4 from 10 to 11 am with a funeral service at 11 am. Interment Forest Hill Memorial Park.
