Philip George Pettey, age 93 passed away peacefully on August 8, 2026 in the Heroes Corner of the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 25, 1932 in Worcester, Massachusetts.

As a young man, his family move to Kenosha, Wisconsin, where he met the love of his life, Nancy Smaniotto. Before marrying her on July 12, 1952 he joined the US Army and served in the Korean War. He was employed at Ladish Tri Clover and retired after 42 years. Phil cherished spending time with his family. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, his dogs and watching the birds.

Phil was a hardworking family man who was deeply proud of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his sons Clayton and Daniel. Phil leaves behind his wife Nancy and children Laurie (Russ) Akkerman, Denise (Wayne) Van Lone, Teresa (Ken) Hunt, Sharon Van Dommelen and Philip (Bowe) Pettey. He was also deeply loved by his nine grandchildren: Elizabeth, Lauren, Kenny, Autumn, Julia, Sarah, Michelle, Natalie and Sophia and his 13 great-grandchildren. He will forever remain our hero and in all of our hearts.

Visitation will be held on August 18 at St. Matthew's Church in Oak Creek at 10 am until the time of service at 11 am. Private burial at Southern Wisconsin Veteran Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Milwaukee VA Medical Center.
