Monica - mom - was a generous person who always put family before herself. The well-being of her children and grandchildren was the single most important thing in her life. Come good or bad she was there to help us however she could, without fail, whenever asked. She worried about us all the time.
About the only thing that could rile her was calling her by her middle name, "Blanche." She disliked the name and her usual response was a terse, "What did you call me!?
She was long retired from Ladish, where she worked as an executive secretary.
The last few months were a struggle for mom. She had COPD and needed an oxygen tank wherever she went. Despite it slowing her down, she never gave up. Her body simply wore out and she moved on to a more comfortable place.
We will miss you, mom.
