Millie was born on September 22, 1924 in the U. P. of Michigan. She left home at the age of 16 and spent several years living with other relatives. When WWII started, Millie moved to Cudahy to live with a girlfiend. For awhile she worked as a seamstress in a glove company and also did some housekeeping as well. In an effort to support the nation during the war MIllie started a job at Ladish Corporation. As a result we always called her "Rosie the Rivitor". After the war, Millie met Steve Braxel through mutual friends in March of 1946. They married on May 11 of that same year. Together they raised two girls, Doreen (Richard) Torgersen and Donna (d. Roger) Wulf. For 30 years MIllie worked at EZ Paintr. Millie loved to crochet and knit. She was very creative and talented.
She is survived by her daughters, grandson Morgan and great grandson Wyatt. Millie was reunited with her husband Steve, grand daughter Jennifer Martel, son in law Roger, brothers Leonard and Alvin as well as sister Charlotte "Elaine".
