Mary Angela Meszaros (Mees) was born on February 17, 1944, and was called to
eternal life on April 10, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas
Meszaros; her parents, John and Frances (Merkel) Mees; and her sister, Suzanne
(Mees) Trainor.
Mary was a devoted and loving mother to Richard Meszaros, Mike (Tammy) Meszaros,
Lisa (Meszaros) Pusheck, and Mark Meszaros. She was an incredible and proud
grandmother to Ellie Pusheck, Emily Pusheck, Danny (Katie) Pusheck, Samantha
Meszaros (Matt), Alyssa Meszaros, Jacob Meszaros (Kate), and Alex Brion.
She is further survived by her brothers, John (Jill) Mees and Paul (Monica) Mees, her
brother-in-law, Ken Trainor, and brother-in-law Dennis (Cindy) Meszaros, as well as
several nieces and nephews.
Mary was born and raised in South Milwaukee, where she spent her entire life. She
attended Mercy High School where she played the bugle as a member of the Drum &
Bugle Corps, and in later years volunteered with the Drum and Bugle Corps committee
in South Milwaukee. She began her working years waitressing at The Gourmet House
before starting a long and dedicated career at Sentry, where she worked as a meat
wrapper for 25 years. After retiring, she brought fun and laughter while working for Dr.
Pennington, where she quickly became the “life of the office”—dancing to her favorite
Lady Gaga songs and delighting everyone with her playful “model runway walks” down
the halls with Molly.
Known by all her friends as “Little Mary,” she was loved by all who knew her. She had a
contagious smile and an infectious laugh—no matter the day, she always had a smile
on her face. Mary loved dancing and singing, famously doing the worm at weddings,
taking her grand-dogs for walks, and singing in the church choir. Her faith, family, and
friends were the center of her life.
In her final years, Mary faced dementia with the same grace and warmth she showed
throughout her life. Even during her time in memory care, she continued to touch the
hearts of those around her with her beautiful smile. In her last month, she was blessed
to return home, where she was lovingly cared for by a dedicated caregiver who filled her
days with comfort, good food, and long walks. Her family extends heartfelt thanks to St.
Croix Hospice for their exceptional support over the past year, and to Olya, whose
loving care brought comfort in Mary’s final days. Mary will be greatly missed by
everyone she knew, and every heart that she touched.
