Mary Johnson

January 9, 1951 — October 17, 2023

Mary Joan Johnson (Nee Nelson) passed away at age 72 peacefully surrounded by family members on October 17, 2023. The loving wife of Richard Johnson, age 82. Mary is survived by her children Kevin Silkey (Carrie), Mark Silkey (Genise), Scott Johnson (Mary), Carla Rayburn (Buddy), and 16 grandchildren. Loving sister to Nancy Seng and Daniel Nelson, she is preceded in death by her daughter Becky Dickrell, son Steve Johnson and parents Wallace and Clara Nelson (Nee Dishaw). Mary graduated from South Milwaukee High School and enjoyed working a variety of careers including Meyer Bottling, Allen-Bradley, and Meadowmere. Mary enjoyed spending time with family, cooking, collecting gnomes and trucks, loved her dog Jessie, and enjoyed watching sports and westerns. Mary was loved and cherished by anyone that knew her, she will be incredibly missed by all. The family will be holding a ceremony at Forest Hill Cemetery Chapel and graveside service on Saturday, November 25 ^th at 1:00 pm.
