Mary Cornell

Mary Jo Cornell passed away July 31, 2016 at the age of 58 after an eight year battle with cancer. Loving wife to Steve. Beloved daughter of Harry and Geraldine Glinecki. Sister of Gary and Jim Glinecki. Mother of Ryan (Tavia) Gavinski. Aunt of Drew Glinecki. Grandmother of Chase and Owen. Daughter-in-law to Margery and Clarence Cornell. Sister-in-law to Cynthia (Mark) Parrott, Barbara (Greg) May and Catherine (Jody) Bartell, and aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. Mary Jo was born on February 24, 1958, and she graduated from South Milwaukee High School in 1976. She worked at General Motors for 20 years. Steve and Mary Jo were married March 24, 1999, and they resided in South Milwaukee. Mary Jo loved playing softball and hanging with her teammates. She loved music concerts/festivals, rafting trips, Bristol Renaissance Faire and the State Fair. Mary Jo enjoyed taking road trips with her brother and nephew. She proudly watched her son coach high school baseball and loved seeing her grandsons play soccer. She enjoyed family get-togethers and especially looked forward to Christmas Eve and 4th of July celebrations. Mary Jo was independent, competitive and always on the go. Her sense of humor was second to none. She will be remembered for her joyful attitude and the many hours spent laughing together. A memorial service will be held at Molthen-Bell Funeral Home on Friday, August 5, 2016 at 5:00pm. Visitation will be held at the funeral home following the service until 7:00pm.
