Marlan passed away on May 10, 2024, at the age of 89 with family by his side. Beloved Brother of Vernon (Lorraine) Larson and Sister Bonnie (Tom) Farber. Cherished Uncle to Nephews, Greg (Gail), Ron (Linda), Ken (Thuy), Dave (Sue) and Bill (Paula) Larson, Tom (Tammy), Mike, Mark (Sandy) Zimmerman and Niece Sheryl Larson. Also, many Great-nephews and Great-nieces. Preceded in death by his parents Forest Larson and Cora Larson-Irwin, Sister Betty Larson and Nephew Gary Zimmerman.
Marlan proudly served in the Army, 9
th
Infantry Div., in Germany. After that he and his brother owned and operated the (Citgo) City Service Station in Oak Creek for 10 years and Marlan went on to retire after 29 years at Briggs & Stratton in Milwaukee. He was an avid gardener and spent most summers in Birch Creek, near Holcombe, Wisconsin on the family farm where he grew up. He made many friends throughout his life and most recently at the Waters of Oak Creek.
A private service will be held in Cornell, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Wounded Warriors Project or Salvation Army are appreciated.
