Marilyn Flaherty

July 27, 1936 — September 9, 2021

Marilyn Lorraine Flaherty (Keeler) passed away peacefully at home on September 9, 2021 at age 85, surrounded by her loving children and grandchildren. Marilyn is preceded in death by her husband Dennis and her special friend Wayne Page. She is survived by her son Timothy (Julie), her daughter Colleen (Heidi) and six grandchildren; Amelia, Samuel, Keira, Joseph, Thomas, and Rose. Marilyn was born in Waukegan, IL to Howard and Helen Keeler. At 12 years old, she moved to South Milwaukee, where she would spend the rest of her life, mostly at her home that she adored on the shore of Lake Michigan. Marilyn spent her career working for Dr. Gervase Flaherty as the Office Manager at the South Milwaukee Clinic. In 1968, she married her boss's son, Dennis; they had two children and shared a wonderful life together until his passing in 1995. Marilyn was an avid Wisconsin sports fan and a lifelong golfer. She was a member of the Grant Park Women's Golf Club for 40 years and rarely missed a Thursday tee off – she even golfed the day before her daughter was born. Marilyn was a lifelong parishioner and lay minister at St. John's Catholic Church (now Divine Mercy). Marilyn's family would like to especially thank the Aurora at Home nursing staff and Meals on Wheels for their outstanding support. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to South Milwaukee Human Concerns (https://smhumanconcerns.org)
