Marilyn Klopp Filar

Marilyn Rosanne Klopp-Filar of Franklin, WI passed away on December 14 ^th , 2024, at the age of 86. She passed peacefully surrounded by her family. Marilyn is survived by her children, Steven (Kristine) Ludka, Scott (Patricia) Ludka, and Karin (Timothy) Wierman.  Her grandchildren, Angela (Charles), Lauren, Rachel, Samantha (Daniel), Riley (Adrienne), John (Tiffany), and Danielle (Tony). Her surviving siblings are Patricia Krawczyk, James (Fred) Klopp, Roger Klopp, Chris Klopp, and Gail Berko. She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Marilyn was preceeded in death by her parents Margaret and Walter (Louise) Klopp, her siblings Walter Klopp Jr., Judith Ventimiglia, Gerald (Mickey) Klopp, grandchildren: David Ludka, Michael Wierman, and Emily Ludka. Marilyn was born on September 6 ^th , 1938, in Milwaukee, WI. She attended Oconomowoc, Mercy Catholic, and South Division High Schools.  She earned her bachelor's degree from Alverno College in 1987. She studied abroad at the University of Oxford for one year while attending Alverno. Marilyn's employment included being a proud Page at First Wisconsin Bank. She and her fellow Pages got together every year for over 50 years. She ended her career as a Social Worker for the State of Wisconsin. Marilyn belonged to many organizations. South Milwaukee Little League and Student Assessing at Alverno College were the ones most dear to her heart. Marilyn was a member of the Democratic party and got the chance to meet many prominent candidates through her work with the party. She was very proud of her Irish Heritage, and everyone enjoyed her dyed green hair every St Patrick's Day. Visitation at the funeral home on January 3 from 4 to 6 PM with a service at 6 PM.
