Margaret Serak

Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at the age of 90. Preceded in death by her husband Stephen, son Stephen and daughter Carol. Loving mother to Michael (Donna), Joseph (Kathleen), Thomas (Peggy), Barbara and Jeanne. Also survived by 12 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and her brother Andrew (Joyce). Futher survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation at the funeral home on Monday, October 30 from 4 to 7 PM and on Tuesday, October 31 at Divine Mercy Parish (800 Marquette Ave, South Milwaukee) from 9 to 10 AM with Mass at 10 AM. Interment Holy Sepulcher Cemetery. Margaret worked for the U.S. Department of the Navy until the end of WWII. She took her secretarial skills to Horlick's, one of Racine's largest employers. She left there to begin her life's work with Stephen Serak, her devoted husband. Margaret's career has always been her family. She spent a lifetime caring for her parents, in-laws, husband, children, grandchildren and all the Marquette Ave. neighborhood kids.
