Also known to his family as Dad, Papa and Bunny. Born May 7th, 1931 in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Went home to be with Jesus on November 5th, 2023 at the age of 92. He passed peacefully in his sleep. Survived by wife of 25 years, Marcella Ergen (Wilhelm), 5 children; Deborah (Donald) Moga, Charles Ergen, Gregory (Helen) Ergen, Lowell James (MaryJane) Ergen and Cheryl Bergstrom, 16 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren. Lowell is preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Helen Margaret Ergen (nee Terres), grandson Max Ergen, daughter-in-law, Christine (Lowell James) Ergen.
Lowell spent a great deal of his adult life growing a successful business, Lowell B. Ergen Masonry. He earned his real estate license and his private pilot's license. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, lawn bowling and playing all types of card and board games. He also spent his winters snow-birding in Arizona. Lowell found contentment in helping others, refurbishing computers and donating them to schools, volunteering at his church including spending many hours rebuilding a pipe organ. Lowell worked hard, loved to laugh and was a practical joker at heart. He found great pleasure in music and dancing. His greatest passion was his faith in God. His greatest joy was his grandchildren.
We celebrate the long, fruitful and productive life of Lowell Ergen. "You can now dance to the music of the angels Dad. You will be missed by all who knew you." Services to be held on January 6, 2024 at Divine Mercy Parish 800 Marquette Ave South Milwaukee, WI. 53172, visitation from 9:30 am to 11:00 am with church service to follow.
