Survivor of Pearl Harbor Veteran. Passed away peacefully on June 17, 2018, age 98. He is preceded in death by his wife Mary (Mutz), son Scott and grandson Scott. Leo is survived by his daughter Gail (Lonnie), son's Guy (Nancy), Paul (Barbara) and granddaughter Devia. He is further survived by relatives and friends.
Leo was born on May 23, 1920 in Red Eye, MN. He was raised in Sebeka & Menagha, MN. Leo served in the Army Air Corp during WWII and is a Survivor of Pearl Harbor. Leo married Mary Louise Koch in April 1946 and they moved to South Milwaukee WI to raise their family. He worked at Bucyrus Erie Co for 40 years. He retired in 1983. Soon after he and his wife moved to Bullhead City AZ where they lived along the Colorado River for 20 years. Leo became very involved with the Survivor of Pearl Harbor Association Chapter. He held the position of Vice President and President. Leo gave talks at various functions in Bullhead City AZ and Laughlin NV. He was given a key to the city of Bullhead City from the mayor. In 2009 he moved to Golden Valley AZ and lived with his daughter Gail & Lonnie. In 2012 he experienced the Honor Flight with his son Guy as his guardian. In 2013 Leo moved back to WI and lived in Caledonia with his son Guy and Nancy. He continued to enjoy his fishing as he took trips with his son & daughter in law to MN where he grew up.
Leo enjoyed outdoor sports. He loved his bow and gun hunting and fishing. He was a big Milwaukee Brewer's fan. He belonged to Wisconsin Bowhunters Association. He was a member of VFW Post 9948 of Sturtevant.

Visitation at the funeral home on Saturday, June 23 from 10 am to 12 pm with a service to follow. In lieu of flowers and donations to the family, donations to the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight are appreciated. The family requests everyone to dress in Camouflage or Milwaukee Brewers attire to honor Leo!
