Laurel Vetter

We are gathering at noon February 19, 2021, at St. Paul's Lutheran to remember and celebrate the life of Laurie Vetter. "Laurie" Laurel J. Vetter peacefully left our world on February 12, 2021 at the grand age of 70. We remember her as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, as well as a compassionate friend and sister. She was born to Lawrence and Priscilla Broehm on December 7, 1950. She met her adoring and caring husband Wayne Vetter in December 1978, and married him on November 3, 1979. Together they adopted two children and created a home for nearly 42 years. Laurie and her memory is survived by her husband (Wayne), daughter and son-in-law (Alissa and Steven), her son and his soul-mate (Ryan and Sabrina), and her three grand-children (Lillian, Braedyn, & Avah). She also departed her siblings Jim, Sue, and Nancy and her sister-in-law Irene, and rejoined her parents and her other siblings in the afterlife. Her spirit survives in her three best friends, Jenny, Sheri, and Linda. There are countless others whom too will carry on her love and memory. We will remember Laurie for everything that she was. The way seemingly everyone loved her cooking and baking, as she made each and every meal and goodie with love in mind and heart. Memories of her thrifty shopping in a desire to spoil those in her life to the degree she loved them will continue to warm our hearts for many years. Her love for both nature and city-life created wonderful stories for many of us, as her love for travelling with her husband to North Dakota created so many memories for Wayne. Of course, we will also remember the way she doted on her grandchildren, and showed deep compassion for everybody in her life. Visitation will take place at St. Paul's Lutheran Church (3775 E Cudahy Ave, Cudahy) on February 19, 2021, from 12 PM to 2PM with a service at 2 PM.
