Ken proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WWII on the USS Thomason, DE203.
During his life he touched many people with his giving. He was a swim instructor and life guard at the high school in South Milwaukee for many years, as well as a swim coach for the South Milwaukee Swim Club in it's beginning stages.
Ken was a teachers aide helping children learn to read at Rawson School.
He volunteered his time driving patients to their hospital appointments.
Ken worked at Staff Electric Company for 40 years. He retired at age 62.
He was a Founding Father of St. Sylvester's Church. He donated his time and skills as an electrician to help build the church.
Ken had a great love of sailing. Any free time he had was spent on his boat on Lake Michigan.
Also, the mention of Cabin 5 in Hayward, WI brings a lot of fond memories to us all, as that was his and our favorite destination for over 50 years. We all grew up there on Lac Courte Oreilles.
His last few years were spent caring for his wife who is in declining health.
To his sons, daughters-in-law, and grandsons, he was a teacher, a mentor, and a role model like none other. As a devout husband, father, and grandfather, he will truly be missed.
