Josephine "Jo" Burge-Kruczynski

Josephine "Jo" Burge-Kruczynski (nee Blawat) passed away at home on August 16, 2018, at the age of 81 years. She is reunited with her first husband, Ronald Burge. Loving mother of Jeannette Burge, James Burge, Craig (Laurie) Burge, Steven Burge, and 14 foster children: Ken Phillips, Jose, Todd, Wendy, Tina, Lowell, Mathew, Matthias, John, John, John, Jon, Kevin, and Bobby. Proud grandmother of Danaë (Jeremy) Murillo, Brandon Shelton, Randi Slomski, Andi Janka, Jamey Janka, Logan, Brandon, and Samantha Burge. Great-grandmother of Landon and Carter. Survived by: Sister, Lucille (Ted) Passa; Best friend and sister-in-law, Carolyn (the late Franklin "Ernie") Burge; Sisters-in-law, Charmayne (the late Dick) Blawat; Stella (the late Joe) Blawat; Carol (the late Harry) Blawat; Brother-in-law James "Winch" (Aggie) Burge. She is preceded in death by her siblings: Effie (the late Carl) Kroll; Lillian (the late Edwin) Mozinski; Ann (the late Andrew) Passa; Alfred (the late Elvera) Blawat; and Leonard Blawat, Jr. and sister- and brothers-in-law: Beverly (Don) Gehrens; William "Laurel" (Rose) Burge; Joseph "Lefty" (Caroline "Pipe")Burge; and Paul Burge. Jo worked as a home health aid for the former VNA from 1982-2004. She had crocheted hundreds of prayer shawls for the shawl ministry of Divine Mercy Parish. Mass of Christian Burial will be at Divine Mercy Catholic Church (800 Marquette Ave., So. Milw. 53172) on Monday, August 27, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. Visitation will be Monday at church from 12:00 P.M.-2:00 P.M. Interment at St. Matthew Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Jude are appreciated.
