John A Urschler

Jul 22, 1963 — Sep 30, 2026

West Allis

Of West Allis - born on July 22, 1963 and passed away far too soon on September 30, 2026 surrounded by those who loved and cared for him. He will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by his partner, Leona Wolfe, mom Canan Urschler, sister Caroline (Jim) McMahon, nephew Austin McMahon, and his best furry friend, Bailey, along with the many caregivers who have become his extended family. He is further survived by cousins, aunt, uncle, friends, and members of Leona’s family.

John lived a life on the edge and always on his own terms. Though our hearts are broken by this sudden silence, John’s spirit remains with us. While he tried his best to be kind to others, he wasn’t always as kind to himself. He took a lot of hits, but he got back up and fought the good fight. It is time for him to rest and leave us to keep his dad, Carl, company who has been waiting for him on the other side.

So, raise a glass and celebrate John’s life ---- whenever you hear the sound of a Harley, see a classic car, especially a GTO, walk by a beautiful garden, enjoy the music at Summerfest, and feel the unconditional love of your furry friends. Tom Petty, one of John’s favorites, was thinking of spirits like John’s when he penned “You belong among the wildflowers. You belong somewhere close to me. Far away from your troubles and worry. You belong somewhere you feel free.” John, you are now free.
