John Rapant

Of South Milwaukee - Passed away peacefully on March 19, 2023 at the age of 94. Beloved husband of Dorothy (Totka) for 69 years. Dear father of Mary Ellen (Paul) Nedd, Barbara Wisniewski, Mark (Jeaninne) Rapant and Fred Rapant. Grandfather of David (Amanda) Nedd, Brian (Jess Diaz) Nedd, Russell Rapant, Kevin (Ashley Szymborski) Rapant, Richard Rapant and Claire Rapant. Great- grandfather of Sophia and Aiden Nedd. Brother of the late Ann Koracin, son of the late John and Anna Rapant. Brother-in-law of Margaret Plachinski. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. John was a retired carpenter who worked for Herriges Builders and Milwaukee County among other firms. He was a Boy Scout leader and Korean War Veteran. As a skilled craftsman, John was always willing to help friends and family with remodeling and woodworking projects. He enjoyed spending time at Sheltering Oaks Campground for the past 13 years. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Divine Mercy Parish. Family will receive visitors from 9 am until the service time at 11 am on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Divine Mercy Parish (800 Marquette Ave, South Milwaukee)
