Died May 22, 2016 at the age of 90. Survived by his wife of 66 years, Frances (nee Clarke), his children Michael (Joy); John III (Karen); Francis (Jodi). Seven grandchildren, John IV, Jennifer, Alexa, Peter, Ariel, Hannah and Emma. Jack served in the Army during World War II, 1943 to 1946 and again in the Korean War 1951 to 1952. He was president of the Home State Bank, South Milwaukee for his final 25 years of banking, retiring in 1988. He served on the Board of Directors of the Home State Bank, Trinity Memorial Hospital, Franciscan Nursing Home, Modern Machine Co, and Wisconsin Independent Bankers Association. He was a founding member of St. Sylvester Catholic Church in South Milwaukee serving as its first trustee and on the building committee. He was also on the church's finance committee for 40 years. Upon retirement, he drove for South Milwaukee/Oak Creek Interfaith for over ten years.
