Jim Porfiris

Dimitris "Taki" Porfiris February 3, 1952 – October 12,2025 Dimitris (Taki/Jim) Porfiris, 73, of South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Born in Vourbani, Greece, on February 3, 1952, Taki was proud of his Greek heritage and carried his roots with him throughout his life. He immigrated to the United States in the 1970s, where he built a beautiful life with his family. Taki is survived by his beloved wife, Georgia (née Kokalis), and their children, Lela (Bill) Vassos, Vasilki Porfiris, and Xristoforos Porfiris. He was a proud and adoring grandfather to his granddaughter, Aphrodite, who brought him immense joy. He is further survived by his two brothers, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved deeply. Taki especially enjoyed spending time with his family and taking care of his garden. May his memory be eternal.
