James Simmons

Simmons Sr., James R. "Jimmie" Born to Eternal Life on June 12, 2018 at the age of 85 years. He is reunited with his beloved wife, Gertrude. Loving father of the late James Jr. (Cheryl), Michael (Kathleen), and Daniel (Jennifer). Proud grandfather of Emily (Shane) O'Connor, Amanda, and Brian. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian burial will be Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Divine Mercy Catholic Church (800 Marquette Ave., South Milwaukee) at 11:00AM. Visitation on Tuesday at church from 9:00AM-11:00AM. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery (3800 E. College Ave., Cudahy). The family wishes to thank the staff of Tudor Oaks Health Care for their compassionate care. A special thanks to Vanessa "Slim Pickins" who had a special place in Jimmie's heart and brought such joy to his life. In lieu of flowers memorials to the St. Vincent De Paul Society are greatly appreciated.
