James Eckstrom

Passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at the age of 92. Loving husband to Shirley. Beloved father to Sharon (Steve) Sawchak, Grace Olson, Jenifer (Bill) Dillard, Andrea (Steve) Pelosi, Christine Eckstrom. Dear grandfather to Adam (Becky) Sawchak, Rebecca (Michael W.) Lauria, Andrew and Jana Dillard. Great-grandfather to James Michael, Elena, Mia and William Lauria and Parker Sawchak. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation at the funeral home on Friday, October 6, 2017 from 2:30 to 3:30 pm. Service on Saturday, October 7 at 11 am at Forest Hill Memorial Park. James was a WWII veteran who served in the Navy. He was also a Master Mason, a past city councilman of Omro, WI, an avid member of the Shrine Temple and had a strong faith in God. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Shriner's Children Hospital in Chicago, IL appreciated.
