James Joseph Lee Budish, a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 27, 2026, at the age of 61. Born on Wednesday, December 23, 1964, Jim was a cherished resident of South Milwaukee, WI.
He is deeply mourned by his loving wife of thirty years, Toni (nee Kirschbaum), and their children, Mitchell, Jared (Grace), and Andrea. He also leaves behind his brother Jeffery, brother and sister-in-law Todd (Chris) Kirschbaum, mother-in-law Leta Willman, aunt Shirley Grobner, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Janet, whom he adored.
Professionally, Jim was a dedicated Journeyman Steamfitter and retired through Local 601, where he not only excelled but genuinely loved his work.
Jim was known for being the life of every party, his charisma and humor lighting up the lives of those around him. He had a passion for cooking and always enjoyed playing cribbage and card games. Jim found great joy in fishing and deer hunting with his boys, particularly relishing the peaceful time spent Up North.
The essence of Jim’s life was his love for his family. Though he has left us all too soon, his spirit, kindness, and laughter will live on in the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to have known him.
