Helen Wetzel

Helen Anna Wetzel passed away peacefully and in the presence of loved ones on the morning of July 1st, 2022. She lived a long and wonderfully fulfilled 98 years of life. Helen was born on March 5th 1924 in Chicago, and served in the Army Air Corp during WWII. In January of 1946 she married George Wetzel and they went on to have 9 children and were married for over 50 years. Helen is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, her daughter Dusty Antol (d. 2019) and son in-law John Antol (d. 2017), and her son David Wetzel (d. 2016). Helen is survived by her 7 other children, Gary (Kathy) Wetzel, Karen (Gene) Emer, Carol Wetzel, Susan (John) Simko, Dennis Wetzel, Randall (Denise) Wetzel, and Kelly (Scott) Fisler, as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Helen leaves behind a loving legacy of family. Her kind spunky spirit will be forever missed. Helen's funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 13th at Forest Hill Cemetery in Oak Creek, visitation will be from 12:30pm-2pm with a service to follow.
