Helen Barsamian

Barsamian, Helen (Nee Vartaresian) Passed away peacefully on November 24, 2018 at the age of 95. Helen is now reunited in love with her husband Barsam. She is survived by her children, Brenda (Tom), Loretta (Harland), Barbara (Paul) and grandchildren Rebecca (Justin), Kimberly (Corey), Kevin (Jessica), Ben and Mary. Great grandmother of Kira. Born in Chicago on July 23, 1923, Helen worked as a librarian at the South Milwaukee Public Library for 30 years. She was also a dedicated member of the Holy Resurrection Armenian Church and participated as a Daughter of Vartan. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, playing cards and the beach. Most of all she loved being with her family and friends. She will be remembered for her caring heart, her spirit for life, and her infectious laughter that brightened everyone's day. The family would like to thank the staff at Alexian Village and Horizon Hospice who lovingly contributed to her care through her final years. Visitation will take place at Holy Resurrection Armenian Church on Saturday, December 1, 2018, from 9:30 to 11:00 am, at 909 Michigan Ave., South Milwaukee, WI. Memorial Service will begin at 11:00am, with interment at the Armenian Cemetery at 1434 Rawson Ave, South Milwaukee. Memorials may be made to Holy Resurrection Armenian Church or to a charity of your choice.
