Gregory “Greg, Gunnar” J. Larson left his earthly bonds quietly on Friday, July 24, 2026. He was a tremendous friend for over 23 years of Bill W. and was passionate about selflessly helping his fellow man and woman.
Greg was always helping others; Physically helping with moving household items and delivering food to those in need; Emotionally supporting by listening to others concerns and guiding them towards finding their own solution; Financially providing short term assistance when friends were short of funds. Greg would always say: “I’d rather be happy than right” and he was happiest when he was supporting others who desired his attention. He did not judge others as to how they got into their situation, but he tried to assist them to find a solution.
Greg loved sports- Green Bay Packers football was his favorite. He liked the Landry era Dallas Cowboys and the Raiders will always be from Oakland. His favorite music was a well-tuned Chevrolet Big Block engine, followed closely by John Prine.
Greg leaves behind his companion of 19 years Judy Zemanovic, and his siblings Matt (Sarah), Eric (Keri), Julie (Steve) Kunda, and Andy (Kathleen) Larson. He also is survived by 6 nieces, 5 nephews and three Grandnieces. He has been reunited with his Mom and Dad and older brother Mark as well as Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, please send a donation to: Dr. Bobs Home, Akron Ohio (https://drbobshome-bloom.kindful.com ). Greg volunteered there annually as part of Founders’ Day. In his memory, always strive to “Be Happy rather than Right”.
