Glenn Allen Burgmeier, born in Cudahy to James and Kathleen (Muellner) Burgmeier, passed away on October 22, 2025 at the age of 63 from a heart attack. He was the loving husband to Cathy (Crone) Burgmeier for 20 years.
Glenn had a long career in commercial construction as an insulator for Insulation Industries Incorporated. Glenn was proud of the many projects that he helped build. Glenn retired in September 2019.
Although Glenn did not have any children, he had many hunting dogs that were like children to him, including Jake, Jordan, Mickey, Jasper, Hunter, Zeke, Dodger, Molly, Polly, Samantha, and Bob. Glenn was more of a "pretend" hunter, as he didn't want to kill anything, but rather see the dogs point the birds and do what they loved to do. He loved going on his "pretend" hunting trips in northern Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa.
When Glenn wasn't spending time with his dogs, he enjoyed bike riding with his wife to Franksville and other places, matching his wits in games of chess online, reading history books, going to auctions, and wolf tracking (partially as way to avoid walking his dogs near any wolf dens).
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, James and Kathleen (Muellner) Burgmeier and sisters-in-law Annette Burgmeier and Pamela Walczynski. He is survived by wife Cathryn and siblings Lu Ann (Jeffrey) Fransen, James (Brenda) Burgmeier, Charles Burgmeier, Ramona (Brian) Stanke, and Dale (Jeannine) Burgmeier. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Visitation at the funeral home on November 8 from 9 to 11 AM with a funeral service at 11 AM. Interment to follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. A lunch will follow the burial. Please come and share your memories of Glenn with his family and friends. Flowers and donations are not necessary.
