Glen Aaknes, aged 85, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on October 16, 1939, Glen's life was a testament to the enduring power of love, commitment, and joy in the simple pleasures of life. Married for an impressive 66 years, Glen's unwavering devotion to his wife Judy was the cornerstone of a life rich in love and partnership. Together, they built a family that includes their son Dale, daughter-in-law Gwen, their cherished grandchildren Jessica, Ryan (Amanda). Their adored great-grandchildren Alex, Emma and Liam. Glen's legacy is carried on through his family, who will forever remember his loving guidance and handy skills that could fix just about anything. Glen was preceded in death by his beloved Cheryl L. Rehak, a loss that was felt deeply but also served to remind those left behind of the preciousness of family ties. An avid golfer, Glen found serenity on the greens and camaraderie among fellow enthusiasts. His love for camping allowed him to explore and appreciate the great outdoors, creating lasting memories with family and friends. Glen's passion for gambling and travel took him on many adventures, always with Judy by his side or with anticipation of sharing stories upon their return. To those who knew him, Glen was the embodiment of a loving spirit. His kindness, warmth, and the ability to fix both the tangible and intangible will be profoundly missed. Glen's life was a journey well-traveled, and his memory will continue to inspire and comfort those who were fortunate enough to know him.
