Frank J. Pranghofer, 61, of Milwaukee passed away Monday, February 12, 2018. Frank was born February 11, 1957 in Milwaukee to William and Rosann Pranghofer. He was a devoted husband to Rebecca for 39 years, a loving father to Jessica (Jason) Czaja and Emily (Jason) Oltmanns and beloved "Grandpa Frank" to Owen and Blake Oltmanns. He was the owner of U.S. Safe & Lock Co. for 35 years. He will be forever in the hearts of his brother, Mike Pranghofer, and sisters, Marlene (Sal) Lazaro, Marie Hruzek and Anita (Jeff) Iwanski. He will also be remembered by his cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members and his many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law Lisa Pranghofer.
Frank will be remembered for his witty sarcasm and "resting his eye" while watching NASCAR on Sundays. He enjoyed racing his B52 car as a Hales Whales even though he was black flagged the most. He sat through countless ballets and gymnastics meets out of love for his daughters. Frank is the only person on earth that enjoyed eating cold steak and eggs. Frank adopted a number of dogs from the Humane Society over the years because he was a sucker for a mutt… he loved 'em. Then there was his wine-making passion. He thought he could turn water into wine… he was unsuccessful! Frank loved and was loved. We will say good-bye in the same way we said good-night… "Good night, love you, see you in the morning".
A celebration of Frank's life will be held at 2 pm Saturday, February 24, 2018 at First United Methodist Church of West Allis, 7520 W. Lapham St., West Allis, WI 53214.
We would like to thank all of those who cared for him and helped him complete his work over the past year. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent in Frank's honor to Wisconsin Humane Society at www.wihumane.org.
