Born to Eternal Life on February 13, 2025, at the age of 76. Beloved son of the late Benjamin and Rita Psket. Loving husband of Marilyn for almost 56 beautiful years. Devoted father of the late James, Michelle (Mark) Case, Angie (Jeff Hoffman) Psket, and Jeanne (Ricky Roeglin) Psket. Treasured grandfather of Megan, Hailey, Dominik (Janessa), Anthony, and Annyssa, and proud great-grandfather to Sawyer. Cherished brother of the late Ronald Sket, Kathy (late Dick) Senft, Joan (Mark) Milinovich, Ken Psket, Leone Psket, Bob (Chris) Psket, and the late Michael and Thomas Psket. Brother-in-law of the late Richard (Elaine) Wasicka, the late Joanne (Jim) Hanna, and Joseph (Frances) Wasicka. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends. Gene was a dedicated family man and a hard-working soul with a heart full of love. He met the love of his life, Marilyn, at Izzo's Restaurant when he was just 19 years old in 1968. They married within months, building a life and family together rooted in love and devotion. They purchased their first home a few years later and raised their daughters in Cudahy, WI. He and Marilyn built their dream home in 1997 in Oak Creek, WI. A talented mechanic with a knack for fixing anything, Gene instilled in his children the value of hard work and the mantra: "If something's worth doing, it's worth doing right." He spent many summers camping at Shawano County Park with his family and enjoyed memorable adventures with Marilyn to places like Jamaica and Scotland, as well as travels across the U.S. Gene loved visiting with his siblings at Kathy and Dick's home in Bancroft, WI, and cherished Sunday afternoons spent with his brothers over coffee or working in the garage. A car enthusiast, Gene used to race his Javelin at Great Lakes Dragaway and spent countless hours working on cars in his garage, accompanied by his favorite oldies music—especially Elvis and the Beach Boys. He had a soft spot for Christmas and worked overtime to ensure gifts overflowed beneath the tree, creating magical holiday memories for his daughters. For 21 years, he delighted his granddaughters by gifting them Presidential dollar coins every time he saw them. Gene spent his career as a skilled mechanic, machinist, lead man, and supervisor, working at Mellow's, Star Sprinkler, Wisconsin Nipple, and eventually retiring from Albany Chicago in 2015. His love and dedication will forever guide his family, and his memory will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to have known him.
